That time of year is just around the corner. We drag out the Christmas tree, Hannukah candles, or what have you, and celebrate looking forward to the new year, being together with loved ones, or maybe just hoping we get something under the tree. I know this year is rough in terms of the holidays, at least for most Americans like myself, so maybe this will make shopping for that last minute gift for the nerd or weeb in your life a little easier.

We're officially in October! I thought what better way to celebrate the coming holiday with reviewing a spooky themed collectible! In fact, I plan to review several items this month including the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna Digivice (to celebrate the US Blu-Ray release), the official localization of the Kiki's Delivery Service novel (also newly released), and a video game review (I haven't decided yet which).
But you've come here for Pokemon! So, let's step into the spooky world of Pokemon with the Haunted Pokemon Village Gengar House Halloween Statue, exclusive to the Pokemon Center website!
Chances are if you're here you already have a collection of some kind, particularly one related to anime or video games. Maybe you collect porcelain knick-knacks or stamps, because nostalgia is cool? But what if you have some spare cash in your budget and would like to start collecting? There are a lot of reasons to start: as an investment, to show you're a fan of something, to share in the joy with other collectors, ect. But where do you begin?
Hello everyone! I haven't had a chance to post the last two weeks due to evacuating for Hurricane Laura. I'm happy to report I'm back home now (and my collectibles are safe, too) and I will be resuming my usual weekly schedule next week. Times are hard for all of us right now and I will be moving in a year, so I have listed a lot of video games and anime collectibles on my Ebay. I have a ton of positive feedback and will respond if you have any questions. Below is a preview of the items I have for sale! CHECK THEM OUT HERE Thanks again guys! Please check back for more reviews and advice next week!
So, what are these things? If you've been watching the new Digimon reboot anime, you'll know it includes a new Digivice design. What better way to promote the show than light up vending machine merch?!
Today, I'm going to do a short review, so read on and let's see how these hold up!
Today's topic stems from an issue with older plush and beanies, particularly from the 90's. The popular trend was to add vinyl for a special effect. You may have come across a plush with this issue or found a plush you've been wanting but it was damaged. I'm going to go over some ways to hunt down these plush, preserving them, and repairing them!
Remember Tamagotchi? Remember Pokemon? This was neither, but pretty close. Made by Bandai and a "boy branding" of Tamagotchi, the Digimon Virtual Pet (V-Pet) line was introduced! Maybe you had one as a kid or saw it in the Digimon World Playstation game and always wanted one. Maybe you're one of my friends who had theirs "poop to death". Maybe you've been following the Digimon virtual pets and are a master tamer? I admit, I had a D-3 Digivice as a kid, but not much else. I dabbled in collecting various V-Pet versions through the 2000's, namely looking to raise that much wanted Gabumon, but even then my Version 2 died on me fairly quickly and I had no one to battle with. How does the 20th Anniversary V-Pet compare? Let's take a look.
Hello everyone! I am back from a short vacation and this topic recently came up in our Discord, so I thought I would share some tips from my personal experience when moving. How do you store specific collectibles? What kind of padding to wrap them in? Boxes or not?
I'll answer these questions and more for you! These tips also work great if you're looking to temporarily store any items from your collection! |
